Ghost-endorsed band announces forthcoming full-length album 'Mundus' with riff-heavy track

It's been a couple years since we last heard from Ancient VVisdom, the openly satanic band that leans into hard rock and country influences, but that time has been well served — the band is readying their new LP Mundus for release this fall via Argonauta Records. Today, May 9th, we're pleased to premiere the new song and video for "Human Extinction" — an absolute crusher of a track.

Ancient VVisdom lean on a Seventies-influenced, Sabbathian chord progression and catchy Ghost-esque melodies throughout the song (incidentally, AVV were handpicked by Ghost frontman Tobias Forge to open for the Swedes first-ever American tour), while the accompanying video presents a dimly lit world of black leather, pentagrams, hella riffs and mass death-cult suicide.

"We put our heart and soul into this," explains frontman Nathan Opposition of the new record. "This album speaks volumes both sonically and philosophically. Engineered by Noah Buchanan, mastered by Arthur Rizk, artwork by Karmazid and music by Ancient VVisdom, we had quite the amazing team of talented individuals who helped shape what is now our favorite AVV album to date!

"The world we live in is so fucked up and there is so much to write about, it's sad for me to see how many artists these days have the amps and the platform but nothing to say. The lyrics on Mundus have something very powerful to say. The music, the message, the vision and the voice. I hope in years to come the music community can come together, be enlightened, and take a stance against the hypocrisy, the bigotry, the hate, the injustices of our modern society. We all have a voice now lets band together and use it to change the world. Extinction is the rule, survival is the exception."
