Summoning its power from the ancient Megalodon , Italian trio CARCHARODON (“shark tooth”) has all the bite of a Great White Shark. Since 2003, Pixo (vox, bass), Boggio (guitar), and Nuzzi (drums) have been in relentless pursuit of the Riff, pioneering a sound they call “Macho Metal” (aka “Tupadoom”). Carcharodon comes at you with stomping mad intensity, fueled by an insane lust for blood.

Carcharodon recently revealed plans to birth a third album, adding to an already impressive discography. ‘Bukkraken’ (2018) comes at you this month on Argonauta Records. Throughout the album listeners will hear the fury of High on Fire, the energy of Carnivore, and the caustic spite of Eyehategod stirring through its cold-blooded veins. Today, Doomed & Stoned premieres the music video for “U-666.” This fierce track is a fast-paced, crushing sludge anthem.

Known for their cheeky manner, Carcharodon shared the meaning of “U-666” with Doomed & Stoned:

The lyrics are about a German submarine-crew which hadn’t been informed that WWII was over and kept roaming the seas until they become horny zombies desperately looking for ladies on deserted beaches (“dead and reborn/consumed by porn/your zombie playboys are here”), becoming kings of masturbation (“our right arm is tired/the palms are worn out but Torpedo’s well shined”). The video has been shot by our friend Andrea Cipriani, who did a fantastic job and really captured the “live” feeling of the song.

On October 26th, the chains break, freeing Carcharodon to rampage through the sonic seas with Bukkraken. The new album, issued by Argonauta Records on CD and in digital format, is available for pre-order here.

Some Buzz

Carcharodon started their journey as a power trio in 2003, inspired by a concept of the Nattero brothers (Boggio & Pixo). The band’s intent was to mix extreme metal with the blues and heavy doom tunes. After several demos, split records as well as two critically acclaimed studio albums, followed by numerous shows all over Europe and the States, Carcharodon are getting back to their roots as a trio thanks to their new drummer Nuzzi, which helped the band record their best sounding album to date.
